PERMIT SYSTEM RULE MAKING PLANNED The Hudson River - Black River Regulating District is revising its rules and regulations for the permit system at Great Sacandaga Lake. Between January 31 and April 30, 2006, the Regulating District plans to hold five meetings to gather public input regarding revising the rules and regulations. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Northville Central School, 131 South Third Street, Northville, New York. The first, second and fifth meetings will be conducted by the Regulating District. The third and fourth meetings will be facilitated by an independent consultant. All of these meetings will be open to the public.
“During the first five public outreach meetings, we plan to gather public comments regarding the permit system rules to share with our Board,” stated Glenn A. LaFave, Acting Executive Director. “After draft rules are prepared, we plan to hold a second round of public meetings to seek input on the draft rules. We plan to hold these meetings during the summer months, so it will be more convenient for Great Sacandaga Lake permit holders to attend.
