REGULATING DISTRICT TO SCHEDULE PUBLIC MEETINGS FOR PERMIT SYSTEM RULES The Hudson River - Black River Regulating District will schedule the third and fourth meetings to seek public input regarding revisions to its rules and regulations for the permit system at Great Sacandaga Lake.
“We are pleased with the attendance and public participation at our first two meetings on general permit rules,” stated Glenn A. LaFave, Executive Director. The third and fourth meetings will deal with permit eligibility issues and permit fees. These meetings will be facilitated by an independent consultant and are tentatively scheduled to begin in March. When the dates, locations and times of the meetings are set, the media will be notified and the meeting information will be posted on the Regulating District's website.
People who are not able to attend these meetings can download a “Permit System Rules Revision Public Comment Form” from the Regulating District’s website at http://www.hrbrrd.com/rulespubliccommentform.html and submit their opinions.
“After draft rules are prepared, we plan to hold a second round of meetings to again seek public input. We plan to hold these meetings during the summer months, so it will be more convenient for Great Sacandaga Lake permit holders to attend.” All of these meetings will be open to the public. |
