REGULATING DISTRICT SETS DATE FOR THIRD PUBLIC MEETING FOR PERMIT SYSTEM RULES The Hudson River - Black River Regulating District has scheduled the third meeting to seek public input regarding revisions to its rules and regulations for the permit system at Great Sacandaga Lake. The meeting will be Tuesday, March 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in the auditorium at the Mayfield Central School, 27 School St. Mayfield, NY 12117 (please note that this is a new location). This meeting will be facilitated by an independent consultant and will deal with permit eligibility issues and permit fees.  When the agenda is set, the media will be notified and the meeting information will be posted on this website.
A fourth meeting, also to be facilitated by the independent consultant, will be scheduled at a later time.  The fifth meeting will be facilitated by the Regulating District.
 After draft rules are prepared, the Regulating District plans to hold a second round of public meetings to again seek input during the summer months, so it will be more convenient for Great Sacandaga Lake permit holders to attend.  All of these meetings will be open to the public.
People who are not able to attend these meetings can download a “Permit System Rules Revision Public Comment Form” from the Regulating District’s website at http://www.hrbrrd.com/rulespubliccommentform.html and submit their recommendation.
