ALBERT HAYES NAMED TO THE BOARD OF THE
HUDSON RIVER-BLACK RIVER REGULATING DISTRICT

ALBANY, NY and WATERTOWN, NY - Governor David A. Paterson appointed Albert Hayes of Johnstown, NY to the Board of the Hudson River-Black River Regulating District for a term to expire on September 1, 2015.

"As an active member of the community and a former long term employee of the Regulating District I am honored to be appointed to the Board by Governor Paterson.  I look forward to meeting the challenges facing the Regulating District.” stated Mr. Hayes. 

Chairman Philip W. Klein said, “The Board welcomes Mr. Hayes.  Mr. Hayes is known to all members of the Board and to the Regulating District staff.  With his 21 years of experience as an employee of the Regulating District, Mr. Hayes will hit the ground running.”

Mr. Hayes recently retired from the Hudson River – Black River Regulating District as a foreman with 21 years of service.  Prior to his Regulating District service, Mr. Hayes was employed by the NYS Department of Transportation.

Mr. Hayes replaces Ronald Pintuff of Northville.  Mr. Pintuff, whose term expired, served as the Board’s first vice chair.  Mr. Pintuff began serving on the Board in 2004.  Chairman Klein added that, “The Board will miss Mr. Pintuff’s contribution and wishes to thank him for his dedicated years of service to the Regulating District.”
At the September 14, 2010 Board Meeting in Saratoga, the Board Chair appointed Mr. Hayes to service as Chair of the Permit System Committee and as a member of the Governance and Operations Committees.
