REGULATING DISTRICT SETS PUBLIC MEETING AGENDA FOR PERMIT SYSTEM RULES The Hudson River - Black River Regulating District has scheduled two meetings to gather public input regarding the revised rules for the permit system at Great Sacandaga Lake. The meetings are scheduled for Wednesdays, August 2 and 23, 2006 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the auditorium of the Northville Central School, 131 South Third Street, Northville, New York.
“When we began this revision process for the permit system rules at Great Sacandaga Lake, one goal was to hold public meetings to seek input on the draft rules during the summer months, so Great Sacandaga Lake permit holders could easily participate. ” stated Glenn A. LaFave, Executive Director. “Using the public input from these summer meetings and written comments, we hope to finalize the rules before Labor Day.”
The Regulating District has posted the draft rules on its website at http://www.hrbrrd.com/draftrules.html and the August 2 meeting agenda at http://www.hrbrrd.com/rulemakingagendas1.pdf
Tentatively, the Regulating District hopes to complete the rules revision process by the end of this year so the revised rules can be implemented in 2007, with the exception of permit system fees which have been capped until 2010. |
