REGULATING DISTRICT POSTPONES TONIGHT’S PUBLIC MEETING The Hudson River - Black River Regulating District announced that the August 2, 2006 public meeting on the permit system draft rules at Great Sacandaga Lake has been postponed due to the hot weather.  “After conferring with local leaders and school officials, we decided that it was best to cancel tonight’s meeting,” stated Glenn A. LaFave, Executive Director.  “Although the Northville School auditorium is an excellent facility for public meetings, it is not air conditioned.  Even with five fans going, the heat in the auditorium is oppressive.  We are concerned that, with people filling the auditorium, the heat could become a health issue.”

The permit system draft rules can be found on the District’s web site at www.hrbrrd.com/draftrules.html.  This web page also contains a public comment form for people who wish to submit written comments.  Copies of the draft rules can be obtained at the District’s Sacandaga Field Office and Albany office.

The Regulating District has not yet rescheduled the meeting, but when it does, media outlets will be notified, and the meeting information will be posted on the Regulating District’s web site at www.hrbrrd.com.
