HUDSON RIVER - BLACK RIVER REGULATING DISTRICT PLANS VALVE USE AT CONKLINGVILLE DAM

Due to an operational problem at Brookfield Renewable Power’s EJ West hydroelectric plant downstream from the Conklingville Dam on Great Sacandaga Lake, Brookfield is not able to operate and release water through this plant. Today the Regulating District plans to open two valves in the Conklingville Dam for a scheduled  daily average release of approximately 1500 cubic feet per second (approximately 11200 gallons per second), consistent with the Offer of Settlement.  Tentatively, the valves will remain open until at least midnight tonight.  For more information please check the Reservoir Releases page on the Regulating District’s website at http://hrbrrd.com/releases.html
