HUDSON RIVER - BLACK RIVER REGULATING DISTRICT
PLANS DOW VALVE USE AT CONKLINGVILLE DAM

Due to an operational issue that began on April 8, 2010 at Brookfield Renewable Power’s EJ West hydroelectric plant downstream from the Conklingville Dam on Great Sacandaga Lake, Brookfield is currently not able to operate and release water through this plant.  The Regulating District plans to release water intermittently through a Dow valve at the Conklingville Dam to provide daily average releases consistent with the Offer of Settlement. These releases will continue until the EJ West plant is back online.  For more information please check the Reservoir Releases page on the Regulating District’s website at http://hrbrrd.com/releases.html
