RESERVOIR ELEVATIONS EXPECTED TO INCREASE Please be aware of the potential for a significant rise in the elevation of the Great Sacandaga Lake, Indian Lake Reservoir, and Stillwater Reservoir during the next several days.

Heavy rain has fallen throughout New York State including parts of the Upper Hudson River and Beaver River watershed.  Rainfall, combined with existing snow pack, will cause inflow to these reservoirs to increase sharply.  Please visit the NWS website: http://www.erh.noaa.gov/ for further weather information and updated weather forecasts.

Based on current NWS precipitation and river flow estimates, inflow to these reservoirs will produce an increase in reservoir elevation of approximately 2 to 3 feet for the period Tuesday, January 18 through Wednesday January 25, 2006.
